The camera takes us behind the scenes of her brother's bedroom and gives us an intimate insight into the song recording process and the very act of her creation and inspiration. We see Billie and Finneas walk the lines and rehearse the lyrics and the very creation of the words that will become a complete song. This look at artistic endeavor is invaluable and allows us, as an audience, to have a very personal view of composers' creative process that we simply wouldn't have otherwise. Personally, as a creative person, I have found it gratifying to see how easily and conveniently the lines that have become famous in songs were created and created for the first time. I have to say that this behind-the-scenes look at the creative process was one of the best parts of the documentary for me.

We see Billie's family up close and personal, and we meet a mother who is high and is an intimate part of everything Billie does and what she is a part of. Her mother is there while she creates songs, while she eats, while she travels the world and is there before and after her appearances on stage. We see very clearly in this movie that Billie will not be allowed the "luxury" of drug or alcohol abuse, since the closeness of her mother and her father in everything she does would not allow everything.

For fans of hers who have a deep knowledge of her music and a great appreciation for her songs, you will be in awe of the number of songs featured in this movie and her live appearances at concerts. What I found disturbing were Billie's injuries and the damaging effects of dancing on stage on her fragile body. My heart was in my throat when the movie caught Billie breaking her ankle in one of her performances, and she then returned to the stage to sing while she was sitting. What really impressed me was the energy that Billie puts into her performances and her desire to put on a great show every time for her fans.

The World's A Little Blurry Age Rating

By seeing and listening to Billie, we understand that Billie truly loves her fans and wants only the best for them, whether it's putting on the best show or meeting them face to face and touching them, and squeezing the lucky few. Billie doesn't want to be a distant star who can't get up close and personal with her fans and we come to appreciate that in this poignant look at the star and her makeup.
